мну читал отчёт с какой-то буржуйской выставки, прошедшей в конце 2002. тама
говорилось про teamBeOS и про порт под ппц.

Palm купил Be Inc, но BeOS от этого не перестала же загружаться!

систему она таки да, купила.

Нas the network stack been improved?

Yes. We have a newer network stack than the last BONE (7.0a) that was available

What is Zeta based on?

To give an answer to that question it is really difficult. Zeta is not
R5, Zeta is NOT Dano, Zeta is not OpenBeOS. Zeta is much more. But the
most important thing is that Zeta is a legal update of BeOS to BeOS R6 so
developers can develop software for a legal operating system and can get
support from a company behind it.

Why isn't Zeta Open Source?

At this time the core of the OS is based on proprietary code that we cannot
legaly share. We do, however, like Open Source, and as the product evolves and
draws from various Open Source resources we will release our modifications in
source form.

At this time we are only using some small parts (i.e. the shutdown application)
